Rahul Vimalkanth

I am a pre-final year undergraduate student in Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras. My research lies at the intersection of Computer Vision, Robotics, Machine Learning and Generative AI.

Currently, I am a Young Research Fellow (YRF) at IIT Madras, collaborating with KLA Corporation to architect lightweight efficient vision models for anomaly detection on edge devices, advised by Prof. Kaushik Mitra. Simultaneously, I serve as a Research Associate at the Computational Imaging Lab working on privacy-preserving lensless imaging. Previously, I worked on dynamic scene understanding and robot perception at the Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems, IISc Bangalore, advised by Prof. Pradipta Biswas.
